An abandoned dog waits to be taken to a new forever home after she was abandoned at a truck stop nearby. A note attached to her read “Dog Name Remi”. The dog was abandoned by her owner who says that she could not afford the 2-year-old pit bull.
She is at present under the care of the Ashtabula County Animal Protective League, Ohio. The staffs at the shelter say that the abandoned dog is sweet-natured and gets along with the other dogs at the center.
She feels a bit down and out at being forsaken and doesn’t seem to understand the reasons. Dumping takes a heavy toll on the psyche of an abandoned dog.

It is exasperating that many people do not realize the responsibility that comes with owning a pet. Too many owners act impetuously and fail to understand that owning a dog is more than just a trend or a show. The dog that you bring into your home is a family member, and you do not discard your family, whatever the reason.
The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals reports that more than 6.2 million pets are re-homed, either given to friends or family members or are added to animal shelters throughout the US. But it is frustrating that in spite of a strong system of animal shelters, abandoned dogs are still a social blight. Just taking them to a shelter is a small repayment for the love that they have given all their lives.
If you are interested in bringing home a strong dog with a sweet nature you can contact the Ashtabula County Animal Protective League. The league has put out a super sweet ad for Remi. The abandoned dog deserves a loving home.
This beauty queen is Remi!! She is a 2 year old Pit Bull that was left at a local truck stop with note pinned to her…

However, we can at least understand the reasons why the owner had left her dog. We sympathize.
